UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
UMW met on Wednesday, November 5th in the Family Life Center with 17 ladies in attendance. President Barbara Wilkes called the meeting to order and Marty Cooper opened with a prayer.
Juanita Donoho gave our Devotion, “A Miracle of Love”. We have all experienced that miracle through the saving grace of our Savior, Jesus Christ. His love is unconditional. We should all strive to be more like Jesus. Wouldn’t the world be a better place?
Linda Barney read the minutes of our last meeting, in absence of Linda Looney. Thank you Linda B. We all should be prepared to serve at all times. Carolyn Evans gave the Treasurer’s Report.
In the absence of Alice Jackson, we did not receive a card report. We should all send her a card since she has fallen and broken a rib. We all missed Alice and she is in our prayers.
We discussed our Thanksgiving lunch. Vivian Scott made a list of all items we will need and the prices.

Patricia Johnson will host our Christmas dinner on December 3rd at 11:00. Everyone will bring a dish. We all enjoyed it very much last year and we’re looking forward to another great time of delicious food and fellowship.
Vivian dismissed us in prayer.
The UMW is selling beautiful handmade Christmas placemats ($12.00 for a set of 4). We still have some cookbooks and a few Christmas Ornaments for sale also.
