UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
The United Methodist Women met on June 9, 2010 and the meeting was called to order by Patricia Johnson, Vice President. We had 13 members present and 4 guests. Our guests were Ruth Vinson, Mick Smith and her son, Freddie Smith and Peggy Hix (Alice Jackson’s sister).
Louise Harmon gave a prayer and Marty Cooper gave the devotional on Love, Chronicles 13.
Carolyn Evans gave the Treasurer’s Report.
Alice Jackson is having surgery on her rotator cuff on July 9th. Let’s keep her in our prayers.
Freddie Smith entertained us by playing the guitar and singing songs he wrote or co-wrote. The were wonderful songs in praise of God. Mr. Smith gave away CDs of his songs. A very talented man, indeed.
There will be no meeting in July, but we will go to Jaymore for peaches on June 29th. Our next meeting will be on August 4th with a covered dish lunch.
Marty Cooper prayed a wonderful closing prayer, thank you, Marty!

Thank you to our G.A.P. Missionaries. Beth, Laura, Aubrey, Natalie, Bethany and Vivian were leaders. Amy, Cassidy, Jeremy, Haley and Travis were the best "Gappers" ever! They reflected God's love each day.
God bless our G.A.M.E. participants. Amy, Travis, Beth, Laura and Vivian spent this last week serving the Lord in Jackson County.
